The school year is finally over and I wanted to celebrate with the neighborhood. So I threw an ice cream party! Our family loves ice cream, my hubby has it every night. My first step was to go to Walmart and purchase some yummy vanilla ice cream and some toppings to go with it.
Here at Walmart, Savannah was having fun keeping the products in order.
Here’s a list of what I got:
3 gallons of Dreyer/Edy’s Vanilla Ice Cream $3.68
4 Nestle Crunch Bars $.68
2 Butterfinger Bars $.68
Nestle Syrup $2.18
Bowls and spoons
Why Edys and Nestle? We love Edy’s Vanilla, it’s so rich and creamy and goes with everything. My kids always get vanilla with sprinkles or chopped up chocolate bars. Nestle crunch is great with those rice crispies added in. And don’t forget the Butterfingers – they’re so good in ice cream!
I went with Vanilla, it seemed easier to go with one flavor. I choose the candy bars because their yummy and I crushed them up to add as toppings. I had some gummy bears and marshmallows at home to add to the list of toppings. I had it all in separate bowls and let the kids choose what they wanted. Some chose just syrup, while others choose a little of everything!
Everything was perfect! About eleven kids showed up. The kids had a blast talking about their last day of school and what they had planned for the summer. Some of the children had to wash their teacher’s car and some got to put shaving cream all over their desks! Sounds like the schools sent the kids off to a great start this summer. (When does school start again?!)
This shop/project has been compensated as part of a campaign for Nestlé, all views/opinions are my own.
These are pictures of fun! Ice Cream parties are the best!
This looks like such fun! I love your topping choices!
That looks like an awesome party, and I love the thought of Butterfinger crushed up over vanilla ice cream….making me hungry.:)
It was yummy!
