Visiting Grammie Can Be Exhausting, But Fun.

Taking a car trip is no easy venture. I mean it sounds easy, just pack some stuff and off you go. But we have children. Children add a whole other element to a road trip. I should know, we’ve been doing small trips with kids to visit Grammy.

You have to do a pre trip inspection to your car. Make sure all the fluids are full. You’ve got the oil, windshield wiper cleanser and power steering. Make sure the tires are in good condition. Maybe even get them aligned.

Make sure to pack snacks, games, books, videos – all the stuff to keep the kids entertained. We tried them all!

If you don’t know where your going, you’ll need a route planning software. We used my phones GPS the first couple times to visit my mom. I like it better than buying a stand alone GPS. No need spending more money, right?

And of course if your into knowing how much gas you used and how many miles per gallon and all that, you’ll want some type of automated meter reading. My new car has a bunch of cool buttons and gadgets for just this sort of thing.

The kids have so much fun with Grammy – Savannah dressing up. But mommy needs a rest!

We went to visit my mom almost once a month for the past 6 months and I’m done! She needs to come visit us next!! LOL
