Get Creative with Nestle This Halloween

Halloween is almost here and we have so many parties to go to!

Friday we have a Halloween party within our community, Saturday we are putting together a party in our neighborhood and Monday is my daughter’s party at school! Three parties in 4 days!!

What to bring? How about some fun treats made with Nestle candies!!

These Skull and Bones Cupcakes, pictures above, look adorable and yummy too! Plus they are super easy to make!

Ingredients:

1 pkg. (18.25 oz.) yellow or vanilla cake mix 6 individual boxes Orange NERDS from Spooky WONKA NERDS candy bag 1 container (16 oz.) prepared vanilla frosting 24 NESTLÉ CRUNCH Fun-Size Candy Bars 1 small tube decorator icing 4 individual boxes WONKA SweeTARTS Skulls N’ Bones from WONKA Monster MIX UPS assorted candy bag

Directions:

PREPARE cake mix batter according to package directions; add Nerds to batter.  Bake according to directions for 24 cupcakes.  Cool completely.  Frost cupcakes, using a little more frosting than usual on top (“tombstones” will be pushed into frosting).
WRITE spooky words such as “RIP” or “BOO” on Crunch bars using decorator icing.  Let sit for a few minutes to dry.
PRESS Crunch bars into cupcakes to create “tombstones.”  Creatively place Skulls N’ Bones next to “tombstones

Or try these Butterfinger Carmel Apples!! Oh my goodness, I haven;t had a carmel apple in forever! Adding Butterfingers to the outside is like the icing on the cake!

Ingredients:

6 lollipop or wooden craft sticks (found in cake decorating or hobby shops) 6 tart apples (washed, dried and stems removed) 1 package (14 ounces) caramels 2 tablespoons water 2 (2.1 ounces each) NESTLÉ BUTTERFINGER Candy Bars (chopped)

Directions:

LINE tray or baking sheet with wax paper. Insert 1 stick into stem end of each apple.
MICROWAVE caramels and water in large, microwave-safe bowl on HIGH (100%) power for 2 minutes; stir. Microwave at additional 10- to 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
DIP each apple in melted caramel; scrape excess caramel from bottoms. Quickly roll bottom half of apples in chopped Butterfinger, then place on prepared tray. Refrigerate for 45 minutes or until set. Store apples in refrigerator in airtight container. Apples are best if they are served the same day as they are prepared.
NOTE: If caramel becomes firm, return to microwave oven for 20 to 30 seconds or until dipping consistency. Two (1.5 ounces each) NESTLÉ CRUNCH Candy Bars may be used in place of NESTLÉ BUTTERFINGER Candy Bars.
