No nonsense Makes Style Fun and Affordable!

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of No nonsense for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I was a little dismayed when leggings came back in style. Don’t get me wrong, I love the look and rocked it when I was a teenager. After 2 children, I’m not so sure I will rock it now. But then I found out that No nonsense makes tights and leggings in a ton of colors to make it easy to match any outfit!

When I used to wear stockings, No nonsense was my brand so it only makes sense to try them now. Plus you can buy them pretty much anywhere without paying a ton for fashion. My style right now is shorts or jeans and a t-shirt. But I want to dress up on occasion, so I am going to try some tights under a jean skirt. I can change up the color of the tights to go with different outfits. I have this great little black dress that’s a little too short for my age…but with a great pair of tights it will be perfect.

I received a pair of tights and a pair of leggings from No nonsense. The tights are Super Opaque Control Top and the actual name is Cobblestone. They look like a dark grey. $6.49 retail is a great price for these. I’d wear these under a skirt or dress.

The second pair are Corduroy Leggings in Camel. Which is a tan color. These would awesome under a big shirt or short dress. These are soft and very comfortable. These retail for $18.99. I have this nice poet shirt from the 90’s and pair them with the leggings and a pair of boots. Don’t have time to go shopping for something new?

No nonsense tights and leggings can be purchased at food and drug stores as well as mass retails stores. At such an affordable price you can get more than one pair!! Accidents at Work

429347_2564971138502_1306889309_n
Did I ever tell you how my husband became retired from firefighting/paramedic?
He was injured at work.
We was on a call and it was raining. He was coming out of the house with the equipment and bam! He went flat on his back and hit his head on the step.
The Trauma Hawk was called in and everything. Of course, here I am at home with my 6 month old baby and I get a call in the middle of the night, saying your husband is alright but….he’s in the hospital.
Thankfully, he was in a union and I swear the firefighter’s have the best union and insurance. Accidents at work claims can  be a hassle for some, but for us if was pretty easy. They took care of everything! My husband stayed on work compensation for two years then had to take a settlement, as he was not cleared to go back to work as a firefighter. I still think he should have taken a desk job…
Need help from a work related claim, check out Irwin Mitchell.
This is a partnered post, but a true story!

Be a Tooth Fairy Hero with Tom’s of Maine (Giveaway)

Taking care of your teeth and your child’s teeth is super important. Of course you have to set a good example right?
img_logo
Right now Tom’s of Maine has a cool contest going on “Be a Tooth Fairy Hero” art project. This is part of their annual Dental Health for All charitable giving program. They are inviting children to break out their crayons and creativity to draw an artistic interpretation of the beloved Tooth Fairy to help smiles in need. Or if they are not that creative they do have a coloring sheeting you can download and color.

003

You can enter your child/children’s drawing of the Tooth Fairy into the national drawing at www.tomsofmaine.com/toothfairy. We download the coloring sheet provided, although my daughter may try her hand at the tooth fairy. Ten entries will be randomly selected, awarding a $10,000 donation on each winner’s behalf to a dental clinic in your state, plus toothpaste for your child’s entire school.

This is a such simple and easy way to help raise awareness about the need for access to dental care and even a chance to talk to your kids about the importance of good oral care habits. You could even get your child’s class involved. What a fun class project!

The last day to enter is March 15, 2013

This year marks 10 years of the Tom’s of Maine Dental Health for All program and $1 million donated to community dental clinics nationwide, dedicated to providing more families with regular screenings and check-ups. To date, the company’s funding has helped make more than 200,000 additional patient visits possible.

We received the two of Tom’s of Maine products: The Silly Strawberry Toothpaste and the Juicy Mint Mouthwash.

006

Tom’s of Maine Silly Strawberry Toothpaste

The Silly Strawberry Toothpaste is all natural with no artificial flavors, dyes, sweeteners…or sparkles. It does contain natural ingredient including real strawberries! It’s made for children ages 2-6 and come fluoride free if you choose. Plus it’s the first kid’s toothpaste to receive the  American Dental Association’s Seal of Acceptance.

004

Tom’s of Maine Juicy Mint Mouthwash

The Juicy Mint Mouthwash is made for children ages 2-6 with mild fruit flavors and just a hint of mint. Again with no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. The plastic bottles can be recycled through TerraCycle too!
