BabbaBox – Kitchen Science

I recently was sent a BabbaBox to review. What is a BabbaBox? BabbaBox is a fun box that comes to your house filled with hours of fun! The boxes are filled with most everything you need to have create fun activities. It’s more than just a craft. There are books and games or puzzles too. They have three different monthly subscriptions plans to choose from. This is a great gift too. I know my parents never know what to buy my daughter. This would be perfect! A new box of fun that comes every month? Awesome!

We received the Kitchen Science BabbaBox to review. Savannah couldn’t wait to get started. There were four experiments to choose from. We ended up doing all of them in one morning. But the great thing is, we can do them again!

We are getting all the ingredients ready….

First up is the Bouncy Ball. Everything but the water and bowl were included.

Can you tell she did not want to touch the bouncy ball?

Included was a sticker sheet. She got to put a gold star on the activity once it was done.

Next up, The Oozing Volcano!

I did need to find several ingredients in my kitchen, like vinegar, baking soda, dish soap and foil. All easy as I had them all. She thought it was really neat how the “lava” came up and over the cup and looked like a volcano.

The Lava Lamp was next. Oil and food coloring were needed for this one. It was interesting to see how the color drops floated through the oil.

Lastly we made Magic Mud. This was cool. The liquid never really settled in the corn starch. My son got in on the action with this one.

Each experiment came with a card of instructions and within those instructions were questions to ask your child and different ways to do the experiment. Made you think and wonder.

Oz The Great and Powerful is Available on Blu-ray and DVD

OZ THE GREAT AND POWERFUL just became available on Blu-ray and DVD! This is a great movie to get for the summer. I got to see it in the theaters when it was out and just last week was sent a copy to review with my family. I couldn’t wait to share it with them. We watched it that night that it came.

Oz the Great and Powerful is such an awesome movie. I loved the vibrant colors and all the animation. I’ve been wanting to get my daughter to watch the original Wizard of Oz, but just never have. Now that she’s watched Oz the Great and Powerful I was ready to play the other one for her. We tried watching it the next night, but honestly, there is no comparison. I feel asleep. The special effects and the animation are so much better.

What I liked about the movie was getting to see how Oz became the wizard. That was always a question in my mind as a young girl.

My daughter’s favorite characters? Theodora, the naïve witch who gets betrayed by her sister Evanora and the China Girl. China Girl is the only one left from China Town. She is so cute and spunky! My twelve year old son and husband really liked the movie too! I mean what’s not to like?

I would definitely recommend seeing this movie! It will be a great adventure for you and your family!!

Who do you play in Oz The Great And Powerful?

I play two characters in the movie. Firstly, I play a little girl in a wheelchair in Kansas. I also play a character named China Girl in the land of Oz. China Girl is a much bigger part.

How would you describe China Girl?

China Girl is a sassy little girl who is made completely from china. She’s a really cute character in the movie.

What do you like about her?

I like her personality and I like how she’s very delicate. China Girl is very strong and determined, which is very different from her outer appearance. She fools people with her delicate porcelain skin because she’

Are you sassy in real life, just like China Girl?

China Girl and I are very similar in a lot of ways. Our personalities are the same and I’m pretty sassy, but China Girl is also a little manipulative. I’m not like that. Oh, but I do pull pranks on my sisters a lot! I guess that’s a little manipulative.

How did you get involved with Oz The Great And Powerful?

At first, I met the director for a screen test. I was up against a few other people for the role, but I really wanted it. I’ll admit it; I was a little nervous when I went into the room to meet him!

How much fun did you have shooting Oz The Great And Powerful?

It was really fun because the studio where we shot the action was amazing. It was a huge building with lots of different, awesome sets. I got to walk along the yellow brick road every day. It was an amazing experience. It was really magical. I’ll never forget it.

What advice would you give to youngsters who want to follow in your footsteps and act?

Keep your dreams alive and never give up. Honestly, you’ve just got to keep going if you want to make it as an actor.

Why is it important to keep your dreams alive?

There’s a lot of disappointment and rejection in this industry. It’s hard, and it’s really difficult to deal with – but you just have to keep going. Never give up because you never know when something is going to come your way.

What would be your dream role?

Well, my ultimate dream is to win an Oscar. Other than that, I’m up for anything. I think a drama would be really cool to do next, but I also love comedies, scary movies, action movies and thrillers. I love everything! I can’t wait to find out what’s next…

I love Becky Wade’s style of writing! I first read her work last year with My Stubborn Heart. Becky writes such clean and clear pictures that you really believe you are in the book with the characters. With her latest book, Undeniably Yours, she doesn’t disappoint!

Undeniably Yours is a sweet, easy read with a little suspense too! I can’t wait to read her next novel.
