I received the “Quick and Easy Stringing” box to review. The box came with a detailed instruction booklet which includes pictures to help. If you need more help they also offer links to online resources. The February 2018 box came with a necklace project and an earrings project. Everything you need is included HOWEVER the tools you need are not. Luckily, my husband had the tools required. If you do not have the tools you can order them from www.jewelryandbeadingstore.com.

Pretty much the same tools will be needed for all of the projects, however I do wish an email would have been sent prior to me receiving the box so I would know what I would need.

I myself love jewelry, however I am not crafty or a DIY person. This was a bit of a challenge so I focused on the earrings which were a bit easier than the necklace. The earrings took my about 2o minutes total from start to finish to create. Pliers and wire cutters were needed for this project. I am very happy with how the earrings turned out, and cannot wait to show them off to my family/friends and let them know I created them myself.

In conclusion, these boxes are wonderful if you want to get creative by creating your own jewelry. The price of the subscription is very fair for the quality of jewelry you receive. They also have gift subscriptions available.

First off, I love how there is very limited assembly with this car. You just snap on the exhaust pieces and it is all set up and ready to play with. You do need batteries thought which are not included. Once I put the batteries in it was ready to go! You do have to switch the car on first, then switch on the remote and let them sync. The light blinking will let you know it is syncing and then once it stops blinking it is all set. This car has fun sounds from Mickey himself when he transforms his car. The car can go forward, backwards, left and right. There is a button to make horn sounds, and also a button to transform the car.

My 6 year old son is having a blast with this car. He has been coming home from school each day asking to take it outside to play with it. He loves transforming it and hearing all of the fun sounds. I love how it does not go super fast like most RC cars, so it is easy for my child to handle. It is the perfect RC car for his age in my opinion.

This would make a great first RC Car for your child, and this would make a great gift!

“Astronaut Annie” Children’s Book Review

If you are looking for a new book to read to your children, I highly recommend Astronaut Annie. Check out my review on this book, and read why my kids absolutely love it.

About this book:

Annie’s joyful exuberance and her family’s whole-hearted support leave no doubt that her dream is within her grasp. This delightful story―with backmatter about women astronauts―encourages young readers to pursue their dreams and reach for the stars.

Career Day is approaching, and Annie can’t wait to show her family what she’s planning to be when she grows up. But, she must keep it a secret until Friday! So curious family members each ask Annie for a clue. Convinced that she’ll be a news reporter like he once was, Grandpop gives her his old camera and notebook to use for her presentation. Grandma is sure Annie wants to be a champion baker like her, so she offers a mixing bowl and oven mitts to Annie. Hopeful she’ll become the mountain climber he aspired to be, Dad gives Annie an old backpack. Mom presents Annie with a pair of high-top sneakers to pursue Mom’s favorite sport in high school — basketball.

Grateful for each gift, Annie cleverly finds a way to use them all to create her Career Day costume. When the big day arrives, Annie finally reveals her out-of-this-world dream to everyone.

This book is hardcover and has 26 pages. It is recommended for ages 5-8, although my almost 10 year old loved reading it. It is beautifully illustrated, and the font is a great size for my kids to read. My kids loved reading in anticipation to see what Annie will be on career day, and were constantly guessing if her relatives would guess what she will be before career day! This book kept them entertained, and I also enjoyed my 9 year old reading it to me. At the end of the book you get an awesome surprise, 4 pages about Women that have gone into space and facts about the moon! My kids were so excited to read up all about the women that have good into space, It is the perfect book for any child that is starting to learn about space or has a love for it already, If you are looking for a new book to give your child, consider Astronaut Annie!

I just received the new Disney Princess subscription box from Pley! This month’s princess is Jasmine. The box transforms into The Sultan’s palace–it’s magical! It’s loaded with goodies just like the other Disney Princess Pleyboxes. There’s an activity book with a story and all sorts of activities that your little one will enjoy. A very pretty T-shirt, Pop keychain, and jewelry box with a necklace and magic lantern earrings — all fit for a princess! As you can see, it came with many cool Jasmine themed items for my daughter to enjoy. Now lets talk about each item.

Jasmine Long Sleeve T- Shirt: Some of the boxes come with apparel. When you sign up for the box you can let them know what size your child is. I am so happy that Pley.com offers bigger sizes. My daughter is a size 10 so they sent a Disney brand size 10/12 which fits her perfectly! It is long-sleeved so it is perfect for the winter weather right now.

Jewelry box with Jasmine necklace and magic lantern earrings: This set is so cute! It comes with gold-plated earrings for pierced ears, and a beautiful gold Jasmine necklace. Keep them together in the adorable metal jewelry tin when you are done wearing them.

Jasmine Pop keychain: My daughter is very into the “Pop” series of characters. This box comes with a Jasmine Pop keychain. Perfect for putting on your backpack or playing with it as a little doll/figure!

Princess Jasmine Painting pages: Just grab a paint brush and you are set! These painting pages are awesome and not messy! Each page (12 pages) comes with a set of dry paint right on them. Get a cup of water and a paint brush and this is perfect for traveling or doing at home.

Do you have a Harry Potter, Disney, DC Comics and/or WWE fan at home? If so, you must check out the new NANO METALFIGS! They are small collectible figures made out of 100% die-cast metal.

About NANO METALFIGS:

From Jada Toys, the company who created a new category of collectible figures with their Metals Die Cast line, comes an all-new line of collectible die-cast figures called Nano Metalfigs!

Each posed Nano figure is made of 100% die-cast metal and stands about 1.65″ tall and weighs about 30g or roughly 5 quarters. Although they might be small, each is finely sculpted and has premium metallic paints to achieve a high-quality appearance and durability, all at a Nano price.

These collectible figures come in single packs and also packs of 5, 10 and 20. I was able to review some of the Harry Potter Metalfigs single packs and also a Disney 5-pack. The figures are so character lifelike and make a great addition to any collection! There are also Nano Scenes which right now are available in Harry Potter Gryffindor Tower and DC Comics Batcave. You can create your own scene and show it off, how fun! I am so excited to purchase more of these for my 9 year old who absolutely loves Harry Potter.
