The True Story of Puss n Boots Movie Review

There is a w Puss n Boots movie coming out soon, but did you knwo there was one a year or so ago?We love the Shrek movies. Everyone does, right? And who can resist Puss in the movie? He even has his own movie coming out soon.

Well, in 2009, The True Story of Puss n Boots came out with the voice of William Shatner. I was asked to review this movie and thought the kids would love it. Savannah was excited and so was I.

It’s about a farmer’s son who inherits a cat. The farmer’s son is in love with the princess that loves to sing and dance. However, the evil court jester wants the princess too and is doing everything in his power to get her. The cat’s is a little odd, well all the charachter’s are a bit odd.But he does keep his promise to get the two together and they all live happily ever after. Haha.

We watched about 15 minutes of the movie and Savannah had had enough. She did not like it. I thought it was kind of strange and dark and just weird. I have read other reviews and some of the reviewers have liked it and some have not. If you do decide to try it, don’t go into it thinking -Shrek. It has nothing to do with it.

However, a few days later I turned the movie back on. I wanted to watch the whole movie – to be fair. My son watched a little bit of it and Savannah watched it here and there. But I watched all of it. It was okay. I really can’t recommend this movie for little ones. Maybe over 8 years of age. And rent it at the library….

Turbie Twist Review

Do you have long hair? I do. For years, after a shower, I would wrap my hair up in another towel. I would have this huge mass on top of my head. It was a awkward and I always felt a little off balance from it. Then I tried Turbie Twist. I loved it from the start!

What is Turbie Twist? It’s like a small thin towel made just for your hair! It’s shaped like a hood with a tail. You place the hood on on your head backwards with your head down, then gather your hair in the “tail” and twist. Then pull up on top of your head and secure. I don’t know many children that like to brush their teeth. Mine don’t mind it, but if for some reason it’s “forgotten”, they won’t remind me.

Another Target Favorite – dENiZEN Jeans

My favorite store, Target, now sells dENiZEN brand jeans! They made their debut in July 2011. Have you tried them yet?

I’ve never bought jeans at Target before, but I’m going to head over there soon and grab some for the family. I just tried the dENiZEN jeans for women and they are so comfortable! They are soft and have a stretchy material that gives in all the right spots.

So who makes dENiZEN? Levi Strauss & Co. They’ve been around forever, so they gotta know their jeans, right?

dENiZEN jeans aren’t just for women either, they’re for the entire family! My son is at that in between stage where boys clothes almost doesn’t fit and men’s clothing is too big. I’m hoping to get him a pair. dENiZEN is only sold at Target, though.

I received a pair of these new jeans. I ordered a size too big and they did not have my “short” length available, so I was sent a “medium” length.

So, my jeans were a little big on me, but I could tell how soft and comfy they were ans am excited to be able to shop at my favorite store for another pair. Hunter needs a pair too!

Here’s the styles they offer:

Women’s: Sizes range from 2-18 with fits including Mid Rise Boot Cut, Mid Rise Straight, Totally Shaping Mid Rise Boot Cut and Totally Shaping at Waist Boot Cut.

Green Works – The Green Way to Clean

If you are looking to green your life and don’t know where to start, try starting with your household cleaners. Cleaners affect your house, your kids, you.

Green Works can help get your house clean without all of those harsh chemical fumes and residues. If you know me, you know I have a thing for smells. Harsh chemicals really mess with my head and it kinda freaks me out with the kids. I don’t want my daughter paying in the shower with a bunch of chemicals.

I received four Green Works products to review.

Green Works Naturally Derived Cleaning Wipes – Contain ingredients, such as citric acid and wood fibers. There no harsh fumes or residue and can be used on just about anything. They smell kinda lemony. A plus – they are biodegradable and you can throw them in the compost bin!

Green Works Naturally Derived All-Purpose Cleaner – This is wonderful to use anywhere! We even used it to clean our tile floors. It’s safe to use on multiple surfaces throughout the kitchen and bathroom, including counters, appliances, stainless steel, sealed granite, chrome, cooktop hoods, sinks and toilets.

Green Works Laundry Detergent – Works just as well as other detergents, but with the knowledge of what your NOT using. No phosphates, optical brighteners or harsh chemical residue.

Green Works Naturally Derived Bathroom Cleaner – This great, just like the multi use cleaner.
