I am really loving this Coconut Oil. I use it as a butter replacement while cooking. I also used it as a deep hair conditioner in my very thick, coarse hair and it really made it smoother and shiny. A little goes a long way!

Organic Peppermint Essential Oil

Let me say this oil smells WONDERFUL! I am loving the peppermint scent. I have started to use it before I brush my teeth. I swish it around in my mouth for about 5 minutes and then I also brush my teeth with it before I use toothpaste. My mouth has been feeling much cleaner and fresher than just brushing with toothpaste alone. I love that it is non toxic and won’t harm my teeth.

This is my favorite product out of all of the ones I have reviewed for this post. I have been using this Facial Oil ask a mask at night after I remove my makeup. I leave on for about 30 minutes and then rinse. I have been doing this for 5 days now. My skin is softer and much smoother. I also have been using a little bit of it to remove my makeup and it comes off easily with a wash cloth. Much better than the makeup removers you buy in the stores.

This Body Butter is a great moisturizer. I have been adding a drop or two to my bath at night and also put a little bit on when I am in the shower. It is very greasy, I was not expecting that so I have not been using it on my face or outside of the shower or tub. It has been working great for me in the tub and shower though so no complaints.

If you have never used Coconut Oil for health and beauty I highly recommend it. I am definitely hooked to these products and I am so glad I was able to try them. They really are amazing!!

Our Trip To Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky Mountains

Don’t get me wrong…as a Florida resident, I love living near the beach, but sometimes you just need a change of scenery. This summer, my kids asked to take a trip to the mountains, so we decided to visit Gatlinburg, Tennessee and the Great Smoky Mountains. The great thing about Gatlinburg is that there is something for everyone – from quaint, romantic cabins for couples to fun, family resorts and everything in between. The list of activities is just as wide-ranging. For nature lovers, there are hiking trails of all levels that take you to beautiful sights like waterfalls, mountain overlooks, meandering streams, and wildlife encounters. For the more adventurous, there are mountain coasters, the famous Ober Gatlinburg Alpine Slide and gondola ride, moonshine distilleries, a space needle, and even a few haunted houses! Downtown you will find local art and crafts stores, restaurants, homemade candy, donut, and popcorn shops, as well as other fun attractions like mountain miniature golf and the Ripley’s Aquarium.

If you take the main road through the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, be sure to stop at the visitor’s centers on both ends. Oconaluftee at the south entrance offers a historic perspective of the area and Sugarlands on the north side is a great place to stop and talk to a park ranger and discover some of the wonderful plant and animal life in the area.

Summer in the mountains is a great time visit. The trees and vegetation are lush and green and on warm days, you can enjoy a dip in one of the creeks that runs through the Smoky Mountain National Park and downtown Gatlinburg. Fall in the Smokies is famous for its beautiful colors as the leaves change, making it one of the more popular times to visit. During winter and the holiday seasons, the streets are lined with holiday lights and the entire town has a festive mood. There’s nothing quite like bundling up with a cup of hot apple cider and a warm donut on a chilly, mountain night. But no matter what time of year you decide to visit, with beautiful scenery and activities for the whole family, it’s sure to be a fun-filled trip!

Fun With The Kids On A Shoestring Budget

We all want to make sure we can have as much fun with our kids as possible. After all, these are days we won’t get back. Our kids are only young once, and the memories we make with them are the ones that will last forever. One day they’ll grow up, and they won’t want to do as much with us anymore!

However, I know lots of parents panic because they don’t have a huge budget. Many families just can’t afford to swan off to theme parks and on vacation without scrimping and saving for years in advance first. If this sounds like you, there’s no need to panic! There are so many ways you can have fun with your kids on a shoestring budget.

By simply getting involved in what your kids are doing yourself, you can make the whole experience so much more fun. By sitting and coloring with them, or starting some sort of project, they’ll automatically begin to feel really excited. You could even buy some popcorn from the shop and settle down to have a family movie night. Maybe even make a den out of cushions and blankets to watch the movies in!
