Family moments can happen at any time, anywhere, anyplace. I love to spend time with my family and I’m so glad I have the opportunity to do more things with them. This past summer I tried to create some fun memories for the children. Bowling, movies and the water park. But one thing that stands out is getting ready for school. My son was not too happy but my daughter was very excited. It’s fun to go shopping and pick out their school supplies. They also needed to back into a routine. The Friday before school started I woke the kids up early and we all got dressed and went out to breakfast. It was kind of like a trial run for the following week. The children got to choose whatever they wanted. The food was not that great but the kids had a great time and we all really enjoyed our family time together.

A few years ago we decided that we would have dinner every night together at the table, no TV. We can enjoy each other without distractions and talk and just be a family. Welch’s believes in this too! Welchs just launched a new movement called “Share What’’s Good.™” It’’s all about sharing those special moments that occur each day with family, friends and loved ones – whether it’s at home or on the go. Whenever I bake I always like to take some of those cookies or cheesecake to my neighbors to make them smile.

At Sharewhatsgood.com you can find a variety of great content from fun family ideas to delicious recipes. I was just thinking about Making some meatballs and rice or dinner soon and found this Tangy Grape Barbecue Meatball recipe. Yumm – it looks good!

Green Works Fun Pinterest Game! #sponsored

I guess it started when I had my second child. I started to really think about how we recycled and what we could to do to better at it. I started thinking about how we cleaned and how we could clean more natural. One of my earliest giveaways was a green cleaner. I loved how it worked and I vowed to start cleaning more green. And living more green. I stopped buying paper napkins and made my own. I stopped using as many paper towels and use washcloths instead.

We recycle everything we are allowed to recycle. Our recycle container outweighs our trash can. We started  teaching our children young what they can and can not recycle. Here is a picture of my daughter at 2 dinog her part and taking out the recycling bins.

I love that my children know how to recycle and reuse items. My daughter has never known to grab a paper towel to wipe up a mess, she grabs a towel that we will wash and re-use. For the holidays and birthdays I use recycled boxes from the mail. I’d rather use them to wrap gifts in then buy boxes. I also save the brown paper that comes in shipping boxes and I press it out, sometimes iron it and then stamp it to make a lovely gift.

One thing that we use to do and don’t is composting. I had made my own bin out of a Rubbermaid bin but that didn’t work as well as I would have liked. I do want to get a bin that I can turn. I know I can get one for around $100.

I love knowing that the cleaners I use are not harmful to my children and family. Green Works is one of my favorites! I feel comfortable with my daughter cleaning the shower or the glass windows. I know that she is not breathing in harmful chemicals. And she has fun cleaning!

So how can you play?

* Make sure to follow @greenworksclean on Pinterest and create one board titled “GreenWorks Games.”

* Then look for one of the GreenWorks Games. They have a word search, word unscramble or complete a word. Once you find a word, search Pinterest for that word and choose a photo that fits and makes sense to you! Natural will have a different meaning to many people. Pin the photo to your board with the “word” and #greenworksgames

See an example here: http://bit.ly/1f82jss

* Additional information on how to play can be found here: http://bit.ly/19f0N1u

New Movie Releases on DVD

This is a partnered post.
There are some great movies coming out on DVD.  I love going to the movies but it’s nice to have a few at home to watch on those rainy days.
We have so many DVD’s in our house and I’m sure we will get a few more for Christmas. I always get one or two for presents. One on list will be Smurfs 2. That was a great movie and can’t wait to watch it again. We do have a few that I would like to get rid of. But selling them at a yard sale just doesn’t seem right. You only get like a dollar a movie….
So what are some other options? Maybe trade with your neighbors. Host a movie/game trade party. You can also sell your DVD’s online. I think I need to get rid of few before the holidays to make room for more!
There are a few movie coming out soon that look interesting.

Epic is coming out soon. I’d love to rent it and see how we like it. I wanted to see it in the theaters but never got around to it.

Empire State with The Rock will be out soon as well. My husband wanted to see this and it does look good. I like Dwayne Johnson.

I also want to rent The Croods. My kids had no interest in it when it was out. But I’m sure they will watch it if I rent it.
What new movies are you looking forward to seeing when they come out on DVD?

The Best Wireless Plan

I told you last month how I was looking for an alternate mobile phone plan. (See that post here)Right now we pay almost $200 for 1 smart phone and data and 2 phones with no data. My phone asks me everyday for data and a smart phone. I’d love to give it to him but that would be an extra $30 a month!!

#shop

I went ahead ad purchased the Concord phone from Walmart and signed up for the Walmart Family Mobile plan. I like the Concord phone. My daughter likes it even more.

#shop #shop

She has acquired this phone and deemed it hers! But we use as a house phone. And a tablet. My daughter has downloaded a ton of games and has a great time playing on it. But her favorite thing to do is call her brother and tell him it’s time to come home for dinner!!

I am very motivated to be rid of my current plan and make the switch! We could get 3 phones with text, minutes and data for less than $110 a month!! That’s $82 a month savings!!

So….what could I do with $82 extra a month?

Take the family to the  movies!

Go bowling!

Go out to dinner!

Go – Go Carting!

#shop

There are so many options for that extra $82

A little bit of information about the Walmart Family Mobile plan. I believe it’s the lowest price rate plan  around. The Walmart Family Mobile have two plans to choose from – $29.88 for unlimited text and talk or $39.88 for unlimited talk, text and web. Additional lines are $24.88 and $34.88. So for the three of us it would be less than $110 a month! That’s about $82 savings! Plus there is no contract to lock you in. You can mix and match for plans if one line does not want web.

I am so happy that I was able to participate in this #cbias campaign for #FamilyMobileSaves. Now I know what I will be doing when my contract ends. Or maybe I won’t wait. I wonder how much the cancelation fees are and how they compare to the savings.
