The J&J Corporate brand (Johnson and Johnson) has a new campaign called “For All You Love.” It’s starting this week and it celebrates the selfless and unconditional caring of caregivers, including moms, and all the ways they care for those they love.
As part of their campaign, recognizing their commitment to the health and well-being of moms and kids worldwide, J&J is also planning to donate $25K this Mother’s Day to Save the Children®: http://www.savethechildren.org
I am supposed to write about someone who is very dear to me, who I love and care about. Of course I would automatically say my children. My son was/is a wonderful little boy (not so little now) and my daughter was a dream come true! I so wanted a little girl and she is so special and sweet. I don’t want to choose one over the other, but I will write about my daughter today. Savannah.
I always wanted children and didn’t realize how much I wanted a girl until I raised 3 stepsons and a son of my own. I longed for a daughter that I could play dress up with and paint my nails with. Five years ago, I got my wish and Savannah was brought into our life. I tried hard to get my girl. (Lots of ovulation kits.) She seemed to lift our family out of the cloud of losing my oldest stepson.
Savannah is funny, sweet, kind, generous and caring. She always makes me laugh (just like her brother). She is goofy, sensitive, friendly yet a little shy. She can always brighten my day!! She can be stubborn, testy and feisty too. Oh and a little bossy. I’m not sure I can say I look forward to her teenage years, but I will cherish all the years I have with her, always!
As a mom I think we all put our children’s needs before our own. I think it’s natural and maybe expected. I wouldn’t change a thing. I love being a mom!
In celebration of Mother’s Day this year, JOHNSON’S® Baby has established JOHNSON’S® Baby CARES Care Cards, a digital e-card platform encouraging moms to share positive messages of encouragement with other moms across the country, while simultaneously supporting Save the Children®. You can help, too! Simply pick and share a card filled with messages of reassurance for a Mom in your life on Facebook at http://www.johnsonsbabycares.com. For every card sent, shared or liked, JOHNSON’S® Baby will donate $1.00 to Save the Children® (up to $150,000) to benefit early childhood education programs that foster education and reassurance for new moms. These cards will not only spread encouragement to Moms throughout the country but will also provide Moms in need with the skills and knowledge to successfully support their child’s growth.
