New Bistro Set or Fix my Own

You may remember my post about my new patio chair cushions. I looked everywhere for a set and finally found them at Home Goods, man I love that store! It seemed like with all the sets, the love seat cushion was the wrong size or they were $60.00 a piece! My hubby thought I was crazy for wanting to get new ones, but the old ones looked so – old.

Then I made the throw cushions myself. Very easy to do and it was fun going to the fabric store and picking out fun prints. I even used some of the old throw pillows – just put a “pillow case” over them.

The new cushions really made a difference. It make my whole patio look “fresh” and ready for summer. I’m so glad I did it.

But ….

Really, when I look at the legs of my furniture, I’m thinking maybe I should have just bought new a new set of furniture. Hubby didn’t like that idea, either. 🙁

I did look at new bistro sets, but thought they were too expensive. Maybe if I just trim the loose pieces?

What do you think?

I honestly need some new lawn chairs too. I mean the ones I got from Target a few years ago just got beaten up by the Florida sun. And the plastic ones, get old looking too, but they are comfy. Maybe I’ll just get some new plastic chairs.

Why can’t furniture last forever? It seems like everything we bought 8-10 years ago needs to be replaced and I can’t afford it?

  1. Get to trimming and maybe some gluing. This could still work!

  2. I love those cushions! They are so bright and cheery 🙂 Sucks that your furniture is falling apart though. I am sure some glue will fix it though. I can’t wait to get a patio to put patio furniture on 🙂

  3. definitely trim those puppies up and glue down the little remaining piece!!

  4. We don’t have outdoor furniture and each year I keep thinking we need to finally get some. I love eating outdoors when we visit friends.
